Latest Leaders – September 2014

Latest Leaders logoThe instant classics of this Major League Baseball postseason have given MLB.com Bloggers plenty to write about. Brandon and Brandon can share first-person accounts of October glory, while the brand-new Cardinals Insider is an absolute must-follow as the Redbirds seek their 12th World Series title. (How fast will it take the 11-time world champs to climb this list, currently dominated at the top by Dodgers?) Interestingly, only one of the top 11 MLB.com Beat Reporter blogs — #7 Britt’s Bird Watch — focuses on a team still alive as of this posting. Get in the game and take the first step to making our Latest Leaders by creating your very own MLB.com Blog, powered by WordPress.com.

Anyone have an idea when the October list is coming out?

After a horrendous season, the Braves have work to do this offseason. Here’s my master plan:

My post today on the 42nd anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s death. http://crzblue.mlblogs.com/2014/10/24/whats-my-line-jackie-robinson/

Thanks for ranking my blog on the fans list.

This is the time of year where ultimately only 1 set of fans will be happy come November 1st. Post season makes hearts breaks heart and provide endless memories and moments of reflection. I am again amazed, befuddled and completely stoked that new blood and some familiar (ex-Rays) faces will again adorn the NLCS and ALCS showdowns. We are down to 4 teams that have defied odds, made calculated calls and trusted their teammates and their own passion and competitive drive to arrive at this awesome last gasp grasp for a chance at ticker tape and immortality.
This month it is not about my ranking, it is about who within the MLB will rise to the top of the mountain and claim their own # 1 ranking and the emotions and actions that got them there.

So who is gonna win it all?

Thank you Mark. You know we love to look at this monthly post. Congratulations to all on the list and to those that are not, you will be if you continue to blog.

I moved up to #13! Thank you those that have visited my blog. Yesterday I was so depressed. I was going to skip going to a Baseball Reliquary event where Jim “Mudcat” Grant was one of the speakers http://crzblue.mlblogs.com/2014/10/07/ill-take-you-there-dock-ellis-and-baseball-in-the-swinging-70s-at-the-burbank-central-library/but I am so glad I went. I had a wonderful time listening to stories from Mr. Grant. I told him listening to him made me forget about my Dodger blues.
