Latest Leaders – November 2012

Latest Leaders logoWhile most baseball fans would tell you there’s really no such thing as an offseason for the national pastime, the first month after the end of the season was a typically big one here at MLB.com Blogs. In addition to the season debut of the Hot Stove behemoth that predictably grabbed the top overall spot, John & Cait…Plus Nine kept going strong to claim the second slot in the Pro Blogs. Meanwhile, newcomer Baseball with Matt made its Latest Leaders premiere right out of the chute. There was a changing of the guard atop the Fan blogs, with the resurrected Rays Renegade returning to grab bragging rights, and Muskat Ramblings finished first among the Beat Writers.

So, I don’t usually say hey guys, come check out my blog but…well…hey guys, come check out my blog and Matt’s too. ;) This is a very simple game… and Dodger Familia Thoughts are so excited about West Coast baseball attention in general and the Angels and Dodgers attention garnering offseasons specifically that we have collaborated for I-5 Bias, an Angels/Dodgers Q&A for fans of both teams and anyone else who is curious about these two crazy, wonderful teams along California’s 5 Freeway. We hope to continue this off and on throughout the season. Check it out if you get the chance…

Mark, quick question. Looking into starting something on MLBlogs but want to know what options I have as far as photo usage. Can we use AP, Getty, any of that or are we on our own?

Yes, MLB.com Blogs are part of MLB.com so all bloggers have rights to AP and Getty there. Ethics are important. One big reason to blog here!

Wonderful! I’ll be moving my current blog over soon then. Likely the template too…

Thanks!

Mark does that go for Fan bloggers like myself? I really only use photos I or one of my fellow writers on my blog take but it is sometimes hard to find photos of guys that don’t play in the Northwest. Wont really change much for me but would be nice to know.

Kristen,
You are not so late ;-) I had posted in the October but not in November. Duhh. I don’t have 20/20 vision but I was 20/20 for October and November. Sweeet

Happy Holidays to everyone and congratulations to everyone that keep coming up with topics to blog during the offseason.

My last post was doing a gallery of pictures from 2012. I think it looks preety cool with the new features there. http://crzblue.mlblogs.com/2012/12/17/2012-a-year-in-pictures-bleeding-dodger-blue/ looking back at the pictures, it was a fun year! Can’t wait for 2013!

Happy Holidays to the MLBlogs community!
Wishing a bit of a delayed congratulations to those who made the list in December, but no less heartfelt a congratulations for the delay. Many thanks to everyone who keeps right on blogging through the offseason. You help take the sting out of this long time without baseball. And many, many thanks to those who continue to read my blog even when I had to take a bit of a work induced offseason myself (I’m back now). :)

^^er…November…you know what I mean. ;)

Thank you and congrats all around. This blogging community is just awesome, even with the resent losses.

How did my Pinstripe Birthday Blog get switched to the “pro” blog category in November?

my blog address as follows MLB: http://mlblogspiratasblog.wordpress.com/ dfue not included among the leaders in November. I would like to know what is the problem to solve. Thanks in advance

007 BASEBALL my blog friend came not among the leaders in November. I wonder what has happened, because I have not changed the template of MLB. If you’ve done something wrong I wonder which was to correct it. thanks

First off, “Happy Holidays to all”. It is great to be back, and I’m honored to again be not only writing on this grand site, but to get so many “Welcome Back” greetings from old and new friends. Not sure who won the MLB.com Winter Meetings Shadow contest, but I hope he was a MLBlogs.com member so we can get juicy factoids from Nashville.
Always a thrilling moment to open these monthly MLBlogs.com emails each month wondering where I might stack up on the deck of awesome writers. The time away reminded me of the great insights and opinions that encompass this great community. Again, since it is December, let me wish you and yours the BEST of the holiday season, and a fantastic 2013 as we get closer (114 days and counting) to Pitchers. and Catchers’ reporting.

@BrewerNation http://www.facebook.com/BrewerNation (though I’m currently maxed out on friends and need to switch it to a page instead of a profile.

@BrewerNation Your page actually should be changed to a Facebook page which would actually benefit you. A Facebook Page can have unlimited number of followers and when you switch it over you wont lose any fans. If you need help with this let me know because social media consulting is what I do.
