Latest Leaders – August 2012

Latest Leaders logoWe’re into the final month of what has been a truly memorable regular season. Full of historic accomplishments and featuring tight races from coast to coast, there’s been plenty for the MLB.com Blogs family to talk about. In August, Jamie Ramsey’s Better Off Red led the Pro Blogs, while we welcomed debutantes like Diamond Dollar$ to the Latest Leaders. Over in the Fan division, we saw some impressive performances from relative newcomers to the list like 9 Inning Know It All and 7000 Coliseum Way. Climbing to No. 24 is Ballparks on a Budget, one of our most must-see blogs of 2012. Meanwhile, Muskat Ramblings continued its run atop the MLB.com Beat Writers, beating out The Zo Zone for top honors. Congratulations to everyone who made the list!

I’m kind of excited to see the newest rankings to see if I stayed in the top 50 fan pages or even if I moved up.

Congratulations to everyone who made the list this month and many thanks to those who continue to read my blog. So, how about this September baseball? Can it be any more exciting!! I’m looking forward to reading what everyone has to say as these now even wilder Wild Card races progress.

Go Dodgers!

Wow! It’s really great to not only be on the list, but to be mentioned. I started my blog in May of 2011, and I’ve worked very hard to get to where I am today. It’s amazing how over the past few months, my blog and gained a substantial following, and not only have people been recognizing me at all of the games that I attend in Oakland, but I have had a fantastic time attending games, and snagging balls. I hope to continue my success and find myself going up the list.

Rays Renegade you were the benchmark for sure, really great stuff, and best of luck to you moving forward! We came in 8th this month, really a testiment to the Cubs fans out there! It helps to have exciting prospects in the system, and we cover them just as much as the big club. Please stop on by, we appreciate everything!

Rays Renegade-It’s not going to be the same without you here brotha. Gonna be tough to compete with the Baseball Collector unless we all quit our jobs and start chasing baseballs full time. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog, competing against you in the monthly rankings and enjoyed every thoughtful comment you’ve ever left on the Rant. Good Luck Cliff and thanks, it’s been fun…”D”

Wanted to again thank everyone for their support, comments and general great writings since November 2007. Has been a great adventure at MLBlogs, but September 1st was my last post. Met and conversed with some great scribes and passionate fans over my tenure on this awesome site. Going to be fun to see who rises to the top to compete with Baseball Collector for the Fan Blog title. Wish nothing but success and adventure for everyone involved with MLBlogs and I will hope to one day see so many of oyu in the stands around the country.
