Looking for a few good MLBlogs

We’d like to hear from you. Specifically, we’re asking for your nominations for MLBlogs deserving of some promotion in the form of a feature in main panel of the MLBlogs front page.

Two rules:
1. You can’t nominate yourself.
2. Please pick an MLBlog that didn’t appear in the August Latest Leaders.

It can be tough building a following, so ideally the nominees will be blogs that you think belong amongst the Leaders. It doesn’t matter if they’ve been blogging here for years or just a few weeks, as long as they’re a consistently good read.

If you think you have a good candidate, please leave a comment below with the blog’s URL and tell us why you’re nominating them.

Kate’s blog Lady Loves Pinstripes is a great site.

Hi,

I am nominating Batter Chatter, written by Mike Malone: http://batterchatter-mike.blogspot.com/ I’ve been reading this blog for a while now and I find the writing to be excellent and entertaining. The topic selections are spot on. This blog has both taught me things and also made me laugh out loud (a great combination!).

The best thing about Batter Chatter, in the context of the MLB.com cornucopia, is the fact that it appeals to any baseball fan. It is not simply centric to one team – it is “where baseball and language intersect”.

Thanks,

~ JT

Just wanted to say “Thanks” for listing me as a Featured Blog on the front page. It’s great to get new readers and I am touched that seasonlong readers like wrigleyregular took the time to nominate my little piece of the world. I am honored. Thanks again!

I would like to nominate Amy Harber of Jobu’s Teepee which can be found at: http://amyharber.mlblogs.com

Amy is an Indians fan that lives in California and always gives funny insight towards her favorite team.

Love SF Diamond Girl’s fresh perspective on the game. And she is very, very funny. Her dreamy team remains my all time favorite!

I would also like to put in a good word for SF Diamond Girl – http://sfdiamondgirl.mlblogs.com/. Although I disagree with her choice of teams, she brings the thoughtful voice of a young woman to discourse about baseball play and culture.

Wow! This was quite the honor, Mark. Thank you! And, thanks to Russell and Emma for nominating me as well.

I’m not sure what else I can say…I was stunned when Mike/BTB told me about it. More stunned seeing it. My friends were very happy to see that, too. This blog has been my passion and I was dedicated to making it shine in different directions. I guess it has paid off.

Again, thanks, Mark and the rest of the Blogosphere!

Thank you, Mark, for the exposure on the front panel of MLBlogs.com this weekend. It couldn’t have came at the right time for the clincher yesterday.

I have a question about Twitter linking and such – I’ll e-mail you.

Also, thanks to Russell and Emma for nominating me as well. Though, according to Emma, I am also a Dodger fan (a returning one after decades away from home).

Keep writing, everyone! We need more voices out there!

Mark,
Just wanted to let you know a totally awesome and unexpected thrill that happened to me this week. I wrote a blog post on MLBlogs.com about the Rays Adam Lambert Concert and my page views have gone through the roof.
But here is the cherry on top, I also got popped on the official Adam Lambert website that goes International for the review. Just got to thank MLB Advanced Media and yourself, because if it was not for this website and its great support, I would be writing on Myspace or something and be invisible still.

Here is the Lambert website link if you want to check it out, it opens straight to MLBlogs.com and my page (sweet!).

Have a great day. I am flying above the clouds right now. Awesome day, Awesome thrill!

HALO-SPACE.COM

So this has absolutely nothing to do with the post, but I know that a lot of people read this blog and I’m hoping that someone can help me.

Does anyone know how I can get a “tag cloud” on my blog? It seems like every blog I read has one and I feel that I have searched the entire blog editor for this, but clearly I have missed something.

I would appreciate any advice from someone who knows how to do this. Thanks so much in advance!

I second Mike’s nomination of Minoring in Baseball by Michael.
And YEAH! Randy of the Heirloom is on the front page!

I nominate “Minoring in Baseball” by Michael
http://burrilltalksbaseball.mlblogs.com/
He’s crazy for Minor League Baseball and has been to a ton of parks with his children and wife. He is the living textbook on how to transcend Baseball from one generation to the next.

submitted my Mike ..the BTB

I would like to nominate http://thomasox.mlblogs.com/

Michael who writes this blog does a really great job. I can’t stand the Red Sox but Michael does a very nice job covering their Major and Minor League clubs. His photography is partially his own, which makes it more personal. He also rather then just reporting the scores and plays, he tells a lot of personal stories that make for a great read. I think his blog really deserves a read, and a little more exposure as I think that once people check it out, they’ll be hooked like me.

Thanks! Go Phils!

SF Diamond Girl – http://sfdiamondgirl.mlblogs.com/
This blog tackles the ups and downs of SF with remarkable humor and optimism. You won’t find reports on stats or trade predictions as much as MLB Hair Awards, Buster Posey’s lookalike, and discussion of the age-old question: to shop or watch baseball?

Balls and Strikes – http://ballsandstrikes.mlblogs.com/
Terry Nelson manages to evaluate the Mariners’ every move from a practical, realistic viewpoint. Why is Seattle so bad? What is up with their pitching? Does King Felix deserve the Cy Young Award? He’s fun to read and really knows his stuff.

I also vote for Randy of
http://heirloom.mlblogs.com

Good catch Russelw!
Emma

Here is another one to feature.
http://heirloom.mlblogs.com/

He is a frequent blogger. It’s time to knock some of the blog’s that haven’t had a fresh post since spring out of the top 50.

Randy is a Minn fan that has been posting on MLBblogs for 3 years.

His is the best blog. WS 40, Rangers fan 0

It looks like I was listing mine that way, but I was talking about his

Please feature: World Series 40, Rangers Fan 0

The best blog that no one is reading.
