Around the Sphere

MLBlogs welcomes many new blogs being created around the clock in this
especially high-optimism, high-volume crankup time for baseball
blogging. Welcome to Yankees 3B prospect Bradley Suttle, who just introduced himself at A lesson in Suttle-ty. Welcome to our MLB.com colleague Doug Miller, whose byline is familiar to millions of baseball fans. Welcome to Terry’s Tidbits from the Harrisburg Senators Double-A club.

The YES Blog is really good. All of the YES Network blogs are.

Zoë Rice just posted the best lookaround so far of CitiField. Pick me up some tickets! Also, we have a number of MLBlogger fans on the scene in Florida and Arizona, including Don of Rockpile Rant, so take a look at their great photos and reports. Lots of Fantasy drafts going on from what we can see, so make sure you are using the Fantasy 411 MLBlog’s help.

Thousands of followers so far on Twitter for our combined MLB forces there and countless more to come. Confirmed MLB tweeps so far:

@barryzito
@chaddurbin
@gehrig38
@nickswisher
@str8edgeracer
@mlblogs
@mlbCoz
@mlbtv
@matthewhleach
@bryanhoch
@mlbastian
@DbacksPRGirl

Aforementioned Zoë is on there as well at @ZoeHelena, as are so many of you. They go hand-in-hand now, just as this MLBlogs Network does with MLB.com and all 30 club sites. What a powerful time to be a baseball fan! If you are new to Twitter, go to http://www.twitter.com and add any of those titles at the end of the URL without the @ sign.

It’s been great to have live games back, and to get back into the MLB.TV habit. Watched Cards-Mets today at home while packing for a Saturday move within the NY area. Surrounded by large boxes and lots of fellow MLBloggers and tweeps, life is good.

I have to say-
Don’s blog at the Rockpile Rant is a must read…everyone-quick go to his blog and read all about his Rockies fandom!
The guy is good.
So, Mark, how’ve you been?

Mark,

Good luck with moving in the snow! I did it once and it wasn’t too much fun!

Are the MLB tweeps that you have listed actual ballplayers or employees? If so, is Gehrig38 none other that Curt Schilling, who met his wife at a mall in the Baltimore?

More stadium remembrances to come in the upcoming days!

Is there anyway for U to acknowledge you have a top 50 blog since that badge logo thing appears to be gone? I want people to know that I have a top 50 blog if they are just viewing it.

I feel it coming! It is a great feeling. Hope to have great new blogs in ’09!

gomets1010: anyone can email me at mlblogosphere@yahoo.com

manoman: reported your comment problem to add to the mount everest of comments about commentings, hopefully the programmers finally will figure it out.

I love the general look of Citi Field.. any retro style ballpark is good to me.

Mark, I couldn’t agree with you more. Life IS good. The weather here in Tucson has been in the 80-90’s. This road trip has exceeded my wildest expectations. I hope the Rockies can win one before I head back to Denver on Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for the picture plug. I enjoyed your live blogging…D

Mark, I want to e-mail you about something. Can you give your email address?

On dbacks.com, it says that Travis “Buckley” is pitching today, but it’s Travis Blackley…can someone fix it?

Mark,
When you post comments on other people’s blogs do they receive your email address? This happened to me 2 times and I don’t really want my e-mail to be seen by the MLBloggers. Also, some of my commenters such as Chris from Chris’ Yankee Blog (http://chrisrisley.mlblogs.com) have been saying they weren’t able to comment on my blog. Do you have any idea on how I can fix this?
Thanks,
The Manoman

Ah, moving is such fun – not. When I lived in New York, I used the Schleppers. No kidding. They were great!

If we can get our bullpen figured out, Mark, then life will be good in technicolor Cardinal red.

My movers just backed out at the last minute so I had to hit up craigslist fast to find replacement…has been a crazy day. Monday I will be semi-normal hopefully.

Mark – is there anything better then having baseball games being played around the country? Oh yes – it will be better when my Red Sox beat the Yankees in April! lol! Good luck with the move. Gee – do you need some help?
