Tonight’s the night

Ready? The MLB All-Star Game Selection Show is on ESPN live at 7 pm ET to announce 62 of the 64 players chosen to attend the July 11 All-Star Game at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Then my Final Vote story will be on MLB.com right after that news is out, and you are going to love this year’s choices. Can’t give anything away here or I would be shot on sight, but people are going to have a lot of fun over this week of voting based on those 10 names. Watch, react, vote and blog!

Happy Very Long Holiday Weekend to everyone around the MLBlogosphere. Practice safe firecracker-lighting and show that comment love and respect. First year was troll-free at MLBlogs and remember that this is not the message boards but rather a fun, stadium-like community where you can talk loud but need to respect your fellow blog-purchasing fans…or get run out by ushers, which is very rare. Let’s please keep it fun like the first year, which I hope you don’t mind my passing along as I seem to hear lately from more and more MLBloggers wishing I could do something about commenters who cross the line. Hate whichever teams you wish, but don’t be a hater here. To quote Forrest Gump: "That’s all I have to say about that."

Please welcome our latest MLBlogs rookie,  What’s up with the Twins? We know what’s up with them. They just dominated Interleague Play with a 16-2 record. It’s going to be a great second half, especially with all those AL teams who seem like they could sweep a World Series right now. Will see what happens. First get ready to start hammering out those Final Votes.
